The 3 Days Mountain Gorilla trekking Safari takes you to Bwindi impenetrable Forest. Bwindi is home to the Batwa Community in Uganda ( https://www.equaltimes.org/batwa-the-most-marginalised-people#.W1yTX7pRXIU )
The Forest is found across the steep escarpments of the western arm of the great rift valley in south western Uganda. Bwindi is habitat to more than half the world’s endangered mountain gorillas.
Meet the Batwa community while carrying out the Nature walk and enjoy captivating evening cultural performances.
En’route to Bwindi one can make a stop at the Equator line to do some souvenir shopping of beautiful Cultural ornaments. Available also are local cuisines in the restaurants.
3 DAYS MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING SAFARI
DAY 01: ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
This 3 Days Mountain Gorilla Trekking Safari begins and ends in Kampala or Entebbe. Our Driver/Guide picks you from hotel, briefs you about the Safari.
Start Journey to Kisoro through Masaka and Mbarara towns. Make stop overs at the Equator crossing for snacks and photography and another for Lunch break at Regency Hotel or Agip Motel Mbarara.
After lunch, drive on to Kabale through the lush green highlands before making your way to home of the giant Mountain Gorillas.
Spend the afternoon touring and interacting with local communities living around Bwindi Forest.
DAY 02: GORILLA SAFARI IN BWINDI
Begin the day with breakfast ready for the Gorilla Trekking Experience. It all begins with a briefing from the UWA staff. The briefing covers the do’s and don’ts to consider while carrying out this exciting exercise.
Ensure to carry along a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots, parked Lunch etc. The guides will lead the trekking into the jungle in search for the shy Primate, this can last between 2-7hours.
DAY 03: TRANSFER FROM BWINDI TO KAMPALA/ENTEBBE
Return to Kampala and proceed to Entebbe airport. Do Lunch en’route during the numerous stop overs during travel.
