Day 1 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: welcome time & overnight in Entebbe town

You meet and greet with our driver guide who takes you for hotel check – in Entebbe town. You may go birding in the botanical gardens or go a city tour around Entebbe town. You can as well stay in sleep mode as you prepare for the engaging activities of the next day.

Day 2 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Mabamba and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Check – out of the in the morning after breakfast and drive to track the shoebill stock in Mabamba swamp. There are several other water birds to see on this birding expedition. You then return to Entebbe in the afternoon for lunch and thereafter the scenic journey to Lake Mburo begins.

Day 3 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Experiential Farm Tourism

Prepare to join the early milking process at Emburara farm after breakfast at 5:30am. The driver takes you to the firm where you will spend the entire day participating in experiential long – horned cattle keeping. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.

Day 4 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Game Drive & Evening Boat Cruise

Serve a morning breakfast and ram into the car for morning game drive. During the drive several other animals such as the buffaloes, hyena, giraffe, topi, reedbuck, eland, oribi, impala, Defassa waterbuck, bushbuck, jackals, elephants, zebra and birds shall be seen around the trails. You stand a good chance to see leopards as they retire from yesterday’s night hunt so by luck you will see some climbing or even sleeping in their tree dens. Lunch time finds at the lodge, rest briefly to prepare for the sunset boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Listen to the heartwarming stories about the lakes and then retire to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 5 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park

Serve your breakfast and leave Lake Mburo for Queen Elizabeth. You will have lunch en-route at Igongo cultural center. There are so many things to see during the drive. The evening catches you at park entrance. The drive-guide helps you check in the lodge, rest as you prepare for next day.

Day 6 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Lion tracking in Ishasha & Local community visit

Drive straight to Ishasha after breakfast to track Africa’s only tree climbing lions. Remember to carry your camera because this is a good safari photography site. You should also ask all questions regarding your sightings; our guides are in position to answer to them. Return to the lodge for lunch and brief rest. In the evening visit one of the local villages to interact with your hosts. You may carry some money to encourage a local initiative that helps local people, return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 7 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Transfer to Kibale National park

The drive takes you through the scenic Fort portal town where your lunch is served. The driver-guide drives around the town for a city tour during which you visit the Omukama’s palace on Kabarole hill. You also visit Sempaya hot springs and Amabeere ga nyina Mwiru and the evening finds you in Kibale National Park.

Day 8 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Chimp tracking & cultural entertainment

Prepare to leave the lodge early after breakfast at 5:30 and drive to park headquarters for briefing. You should note that chimp trekking is such an engrossing activity but extra quotation is to be taken, please listen to your range guides advice. In the evening you will listen to thrilling folk songs and participate in the luring cultural dances.

Day 9 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Birding in Bigodi swamp & Bambuti cultural trail

Serve breakfast and visit Bigodi swamp for birding and thereafter continue to Kampala, visiting Entanda cultural site en-route. You spend the night in Kampala enjoying a movie or play at national theater or Ndele cultural center or dancing to music in a night club in town.

Day 10 of the 10 days chimps trekking, culture & wildlife tour: Departure for Entebbe Airport

Serve breakfast and return to Entebbe airport for your home flight.
